Augusta Lynx News Release
The ECHL Board of Governors today unanimously approved the sale of the Augusta Lynx from Augusta Entertainment, LLC to Group Operating the Augusta Lynx, LLC, (GOAL) effective immediately.
GOAL includes member Dan Troutman, an Augusta businessman who has been the President of Alternative Construction & Environmental Solutions since 1999, and was one of the Lynx' first season ticket holders.
"Our group feels that Lynx hockey is good for Augusta," said Troutman of GOAL's decision to purchase the team. "It was very important to us to keep the team here and not let it leave town. We're ready to take this team in a positive forward direction."
Troutman also serves on the board of the West Augusta Little League; is a volunteer with Angel Flight, and is involved with many charity auctions around the CSRA.
Troutman moved to Augusta in 1987 to become the President and Owner of GSC Environmental Laboratories before heading to Alternative Construction & Environmental Solutions. He is a graduate of Western Kentucky University where he earned a Bachelor's of Science in Chemistry.
"There has been so much uncertainty about the future of the franchise in recent months, so this is a great day for our loyal fans and for the entire community," Lynx General Manager Rob Mueller said. "I am excited for Mr. Troutman and the new ownership group, and I am also grateful to the former ownership group, in particular Mr. Frank Lawrence and Mr. William S. Morris III, for ensuring that the Lynx will remain in Augusta for many years to come."
A deposit of just $50 will reserve your current season ticket seat, and if you pay in full by June 1 you will receive early bird pricing! Call (706) 724-4ICE for more information or to reserve your seats today.
