
Lynx Re-Sign Guard Linnae Harper

MINNEAPOLIS/ST. PAUL - Minnesota Lynx Head Coach and General Manager Cheryl Reeve today announced the team has re-signed guard Linnae Harper. Per team policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Harper played in two preseason contests with the Lynx during training camp and totaled 13 points, 10 rebounds, four steals, one assist and one block in 31:37 minutes of action.
She began her WNBA career playing for the Chicago Sky in 2018 and during her rookie campaign averaged 2.0 points on 40.4% shooting, 0.8 rebounds and 1.0 assists in 24 games. The 5-8 guard played overseas in Italy for Lucca this past offseason, where she held averages of 13.7 points, 4.6 rebounds and 4.1 assists in 11 games played.
Prior to her time in the WNBA, Harper played in the 2016 FIBA World Championship in China where she helped the USA team secure a bronze medal. The Chicago, IL native also played in two seasons for the Ohio State Buckeyes and two seasons for the Kentucky Wildcats in her NCAA career.
The Lynx will tip-off their 23rd WNBA season, presented by Mayo Clinic, on May 14 vs. Phoenix at 8:00 p.m. CT. The 2021 season includes 32 regular season games from May 14 through Sept. 19.
