Ottawa Lynx News Release
The Lynx took an early lead with a run in the bottom of the first inning when Brennan King drove home Joe Thurston. Buffalo tied the game in the second and put three more runs on the board in the third before the Lynx answered back with another run in the bottom of the third. Jim Rushford knocked Gary Burnham home, cutting the lead to 4-2. But the Bisons hammered home another four runs in the top of the fourth, including a three-run inside-the-park home run. Ottawa cut into the lead in the bottom of the frame with another run when Jason Jaramillo cashed Gookie Dawkins. The oddest occurrence of the night came in the top of the sixth. After Buffalo scored twice more, the Lynx turned a triple play--their first since June 26, 1999. The Lynx put up another run in the eighth and two more in the bottom of the ninth on a Gary Burnham home run, but it was not enough and they fell 10-6 to Buffalo.
