Minnesota Lynx News Release

TONIGHT'S GAME

Minnesota at Charlotte - Tuesday, July 25, at Charlotte Bobcats Arena (6:00 p.m.)

The Minnesota Lynx will look to make a final playoff push against a Charlotte team that has been surging since the All-Star break. Prior to their loss against Seattle on Saturday, the Sting had reeled off four in a row against quality opponents like Detroit and Indiana. Tangela Smith leads the team in scoring at 13.6 ppg. She is fresh off a season-high 25 point night against Phoenix. Last season, the Lynx split the season series with the Sting as each team won on its home court. Minnesota trails in the all-time series 3-8. The Lynx have lost four in a row on the road against the Sting. Tuesday's match-up marks the head-coaching debut of Lynx Interim Head Coach Carolyn Jenkins.

NEXT UP

Charlotte at Minnesota - Thursday, July 27, at Target Center (7:00 p.m.)

Charlotte center and former Gopher Janel McCarville will make her debut at Target Center in the second game in three days between the Lynx and the Sting. McCarville, who was injured when the two teams met during the 2005 season, is averaging 4.1 points and 3.0 rebounds in 21 contests this season. She has, however, experienced an increase in playing time and production in recent weeks.

LYNX WATCH PARTIES

Now Lynx fans won't have to miss Lynx games, even when they are on the road. Also, fans will get the chance to win Lynx merchandise, courtside Lynx tickets and NBA City gift certificates. The next Watch Party is July 28 when the Lynx play at Chicago. Watch Parties will also be held on July 30, August 8, and August 13.
