Lynx Close Out 2011 Preseason Schedule with 76-70 Win

- With the win, Minnesota finishes 2-0 in the preseason.

- With the loss, Indiana finishes 0-2 in the preseason.

- In its final preseason tuneup before the season opener on Friday at Los Angeles, Minnesota defeated Indiana at Conseco Fieldhouse, 76-70. With the win, the Lynx close out their two-game preseason schedule a perfect 2-0.

- Eight Lynx players scored at least six points tonight - Whalen (12), McWIlliams-Franklin (10), Brunson (9), Augustus (9), Moore (9), Houston (8), Hornbuckle (8) and Wright (6).

- The Lynx led by as many as 15 points tonight when they took a 63-48 lead midway through the final frame on a Monica Wright jumpshot.

- The Lynx reversed course tonight, getting off to a fast start in taking a 25-18 lead after one frame. One week ago the Lynx trailed by as many as 11 in the first quarter before coming back to win, 71-66. Lindsay Whalen keyed Minnesota's strong start, scoring nine points in the first period. For the quarter, the Lynx shot 9-of-16 from the field.

- Minnesota's first 13 baskets all came via an assist. For the game, the Lynx dished out 16 assists to the Fever's six.

- After limiting the Fever to just 27.2% shooting over the final three quarters in Minnesota's 71-66 win last Tuesday, the Lynx continued to play tough defense, holding Indiana to just 40.3% (25-of-62) shooting for the game.

- An Indianapolis native, Lynx rookie Amber Harris played just under 14 minutes, totaling two rebounds and two steals.

- Seeing her first action of the preseason, Lynx guard Alexis Hornbuckle contributed in a big way, scoring eight points to go along with three rebounds, two assists and one steal.
