
Lynx and Yanks fit to be tied

OTTAWA - The Lynx tied their second game in a row, this time a 7-7 draw against the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Yankees.
The Lynx scored their 7 runs on 14 hits. Jim Rushford had 3 hits and a run batted in, leading the Lynx bat brigade. Chris Roberson added to his team lead in hits, swatting 2 hits, scoring 2 runs and driving in another 2 runs. Dusty Wathan and Carlos Leon both had 2 hits and scored 2 runs, while Danny Sandoval had 2 hits and an RBI. Gary Burnham had a solo home run and former Lynx Lou Collier had a hit and an RBI.
Brian Mazone allowed 2 runs (1 earned) over his 5 innings of work, striking out 3 and allowing only 3 hits. John Ennis allowed two runs of his own over 1.2 innings. Brian Sanches gave up a run in his 1.1 innings of work and Jeff Farnsworth gave up 2 runs (1 earned) in the 9th.
The Lynx face the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Yankees again tomorrow at the Yankees Complex. The Lynx preseason ends Saturday when the Lynx take on Durham.
The Ottawa Lynx will open the 2007 season, their first season as the Triple-A affiliate of the Philadelphia Phillies, in Rochester on April 6. The Lynx home opener is scheduled for April 17th against the Charlotte Knights at 6:05 pm. Single-game tickets will be on sale at the Lynx Box Office starting April 2nd at 10 am.
