THE HILLCATS: Wednesday, the 'Cats beat the Frederick Keys 7-1...LHP Chris Masters held the Keys scoreless through the first five innings before allowing Frederick's only run in the sixth...Joey Terdoslavich hit a two-run home run, his 15th of the year, in the fourth which put the 'Cats up 4-0...Lynchburg added two more in the eighth, on back-to-back sacrifice flies and another pair in the ninth courtesy of a two-run double from L.V. Ware...The Hillcats are currently in fourth place in the Northern Division at 14-24, 11.0 games back of the Keys in first place...

VS. FREDERICK: The Hillcats are 7-8 against the Keys this season...This will be the last trip to Harry Grove Stadium for the 'Cats this year, they are currently 5-4 in Frederick...Lynchburg won the first series with Frederick 3-1 at Harry Grove, but has lost the last three series 2-1...

ROAD WEARY: Lynchburg ventures back out on the road the Keys in Frederick this week...Through the first 20 road games of the second half, the Hillcats were 5-15...The offense had been shut out six times, averaging just 2.7 runs per game (54 runs/20 games)...Last night was a step in the right direction as the 'Cats went off for seven runs on 10 hits...Todd Cunningham and L.V. Ware both had doubles, and Joey Terdoslavich blasted a home run...

ALL FOR ONE AND ONE FOR ALL: The Hillcats had three sacrifice flies last night, the most in a single game this sesason for the 'Cats...Phil Gosselin had two of the three and now has eight on the season, which is the most in the league...Lynchburg also boasts the individual leader in sacrifice hits, Andrelton Simmons with eight...As a team the Hillcats have racked up 72 sacrifices this year (41 hits, 31 flies), third-most in the league behind Potomac and Wilmington who each have 75 total...

BEST OF THE BRAVOS: Eight members of the Hillcats are ranked amongst the top 30 prospects in the Atlanta Braves organization according to Baseball America...That list includes C Christian Bethancourt (12), SS Andrelton Simmons (15), RHP David Hale (17), RHP Dimasther Delgado (18), OF Todd Cunningham (20), OF Adam Milligan (22), INF Joe Leonard (23) and 2B Phil Gosselin (25)...

WELCOME BACK: OF Todd Cunningham made his return to the Hillcats lineup Tuesday night after nearly two months away rehabbing his right elbow...Cunningham swung at the first pitch he saw in his first at-bat back, and singled up the middle...In his first two days back, Cunningham is 4-for-9 with a double and two runs scored, batting leadoff in both games...

40 CLUB: INF Joey Terdoslavich smacked his 40th double of the season Sunday and two more Tuesday night to give him 42...No one else in the league even has 30...He is currently on a six-game hit streak, with five multi-hit games during that stretch...He is 13-for-22 during the streak, with five doubles, two home runs, 11 RBI, and seven runs scored...He has scored a run in each of his last six games as well and is currently hitting .284, tied for fourth best in the league...

RUNNING WILED: OF Keenan Wiley stole two more bases Sunday night...It was his second straight multi-steal game after stealing third twice on Saturday...He now has three multi-steal games in his career...He has proven to be the most effective base stealer for Lynchburg this year with 16 steals in 19 attempts...He's also swinging a good bat recently, currently on a five-game hitting streak, in which he is 8-for-19...Now hitting .289, which would rank third in the league but he is still six plate appearances short of qualifying...

TONIGHT'S OPPOSING PITCHER: LHP Jacob Petit was selected in the 42nd round of the 2010 draft by the Orioles out of Western Oregon State College..Spent most of 2010 season in Rookie-level Bluefield....Pitched first career complete game on August 20...Started 2011 season in Low-A Delmarva...Earned a selection to the South Atlantic League All-Star Game...Was 5-4 with a 4.42 ERA in Delmarva....Was called up to Frederick July 13...Pitched six shutout innings and only gave up two hits in first start against Wilmington...Has only given up two earned runs in 22 and two-thirds innings pitched...Currently 4-0 with a 0.79 ERA for Frederick...
