Kinston, NC - Chris Hemeyer is stepping down as the voice of the K-Tribe to take a job at Campbell University. Hemeyer is in his sixth season as Director of Broadcasting and Public Relations with the Kinston Indians.
"It has been a fantastic experience here in Kinston," said Hemeyer. "I have been fortunate to work with great people not only within the K-Tribe organization, but also with the Cleveland Indians. This town and this team mean a lot to me and I will always be grateful for the opportunity."
Hemeyer started with the K-Tribe in December of 2005. Over the last six seasons, he has called more than 750 games for the K-Tribe.
"Chris has been an incredible asset to our organization over the last 6 years, and we will surely miss his dedication and work ethic," said K-Tribe General Manager Benjamin Jones. "We are extremely happy for him and wish him well in his new endeavors."
