Pensacola Blue Wahoos News Release

PENSACOLA, Fla. - The Cincinnati Reds announced Thursday that outfielder Donald Lutz has been promoted to Triple-A Louisville. Lutz, 25, was leading the team with a .360 average, tied for the team lead with six home runs and third on the club with 16 RBI. Last year, he had a Major League stint with Cincinnati from April 29 through June 24 before returning to the Blue Wahoos. He made his Major League debut on April 29 in St. Louis. He became the first German-developed player to appear in a Major League game. Lutz has played in 128 games for the Blue Wahoos over the last three seasons. This will be his first time at the Triple-A level.

In a pair corresponding moves, 2012 Southern League batting title runner up Josh Fellhauer and right-handed reliever Elvin Ramirez return to Pensacola. Fellhauer has played in nine games this season with Louisville. He spent all of 2012 with Pensacola when he hit .314 over 117 games with four home runs and 41 RBI. He fell just one point shy of Montgomery's Omar Luna for the league batting crown. The left-handed hitting outfielder was a seventh-round pick of the Reds in 2009 out of Cal State Fullerton. He has spent parts of the last two seasons with Double-A Pensacola but this is his first stint with the Wahoos this year. Fellhauer was officially added prior to Friday's game.

Ramirez joined the Blue Wahoos in April. He pitched in four games with Pensacola before earning a brief promotion to Louisville. He was transferred on Thursday but didn't make any appearances with the Bats.
