
Lunkers Take Care Of Business Against Honkers

(Brainerd Lakes Area) - The Lunker bats came alive against the Honkers. A six run Bottom of the 4th inning gave the Lunkers a 10-4 win over the Rochester Honkers Wednesday night at Mills Field.
Dan Olinger and Steven Brault both had big nights for Brainerd Lakes Area. Olinger was 2 for 3 with two runs scored and three RBIs. Brault also drove in three runs, going 2 for 4.
Lunker starter Aaron Griffin got his first win in a Lunker uniform, going six innings, giving up four runs and striking out three. James Farris came on in relief, striking out five in three innings of work.
Rochester starter Eric Davila struggled in his first ever appearance in a Honker uniform as he picked up the loss. He went 3 plus innings, giving up eight runs, with four of those eight coming in the Bottom of the 4th.
With the win, the Lunkers move to (15-9) and stay one game back of Mankato in the North Division. The Honkers fall to (9-17).
The Lunkers and Honkers are back in action Thursday night at 7:05. Aaron Conyers gets the start for the Lunkers with Jeff McKenzie going for the Honkers.
