MANKATO - Whitt Dorsey went 3 for 4 with 4 RBIs, including a two-run home run Friday night, leading the Mankato MoonDogs to a 12-1 victory over the Brainerd Lakes Area Lunkers at Franklin Rogers Park. The MoonDogs scored at least one run each inning from the second inning on. Lunker pitching struggled throughout the game. Lunkers starter James Farris went four innings and gave up five runs, taking the loss.
Steven Brault was strong offensively for the Lunkers, going 2 for 4 with an RBI.
Matt Dunbar picks up the win for Mankato. Dunbar went seven innings, giving up only one unearned run and striking out three.
The Lunkers are back in action Saturday night from Mills Field as they take on the Thunder Bay Border Cats. First pitch is set for 6:05.
