Ace Walker (2.00 ERA) was very strong through six innings, taking a 4-1 lead into the seventh but allowed three before he could get out of the frame as the 28-21 L-Kings fell for the fourth straight time, ending their season-long ride atop the MWL West standings.
Johnny Lujan (1-1; 2.02) took the loss, allowing two runs to score in the eighth after permitting an inherited runner to score in the seventh.
Ian Gac (.224 / .276 / .374) led the Clinton offense with two RBIs in a 2-4 outing that included a walk. Lizahio Baez (.217 / .301 / .380) doubled and walked in four trips, scoring twice. Adam Fox and Andrew Wishy each went 1-4 with a double and a walk.
