Lugnuts/Hot Rods Suspended in the 5th Due to Rain

BOWLING GREEN, Kent. - The Lansing Lugnuts (38-14) and Bowling Green Hot Rods (28-25) were suspended due to rain in a 0-0 game entering the fifth inning on Thursday night at Bowling Green Ballpark.
Lugnuts starter Justin Nicolino and Hot Rods starter Ryan Carpenter matched one another with four frames of goose eggs. Lansing's left-hander struck out two while limiting Bowling Green to a single and a walk; Bowling Green's southpaw countered by fanning four while allowing only a walk to Kevin Pillar and singles by Andy Burns and Gustavo Pierre.
The game will resume on Friday night at 6:30 p.m., followed by a seven-inning series finale between the Lugnuts and Hot Rods.
The Lugnuts will return home for a six-game homestand beginning on Wednesday, June 6th, at 7:05 p.m. with a Ladies Night against the Bowling Green Hot Rods. Tickets are available for purchase online at www.lansinglugnuts.com, at the stadium box office, and by calling 517-485-4500.
