Luc Snuggerud Assigned by Chicago

Rockford, Ill. - The Chicago Blackhawks announced on Friday that they have assigned defenseman Luc Snuggerud to the Rockford IceHogs.

Snuggerud, 22, joined the IceHogs at the tail end of last season, notching 1g-4a-5pts in 13 games with Rockford. He made his professional debut with the Hogs on March 17, 2017 at Manitoba and tallied his first pro goal on April 14, 2017 at Milwaukee.

The 6-0, 187 lbs. blueliner was a standout during his collegiate career at the University of Nebraska-Omaha, earning NCAA Second All-American Team honors and also being named to the NCHC All-Second Team. Snuggerud served as an alternate captain for Nebraska-Omaha last season prior to joining Rockford and in his three-year NCAA career, he compiled 17g-48a-65pts in 113 games.

Next Home Game: The Rockford IceHogs return to action at the BMO Harris Bank Center for the 2017-18 Home Opener on Saturday, Oct. 14, at 6 p.m. The Hogs will take on the Iowa Wild and the first 4,000 fans in attendance will receive a free IceHogs calendar, courtesy of Impact Networking.
