Lowell Devils Recall Cohen from Trenton

LOWELL, Mass. - The Lowell Devils announced that defenseman Matt Cohen has been recalled from their ECHL affiliate, the Trenton Devils.

Cohen has skated in 45 games for Trenton, notching 11 goals, 25 assists and 54 penalty minutes. He currently leads all ECHL defensemen with 10 power play goals and also ranks fourth with 36 points. Now a second-year pro, Cohen was named to the American Conference Team for the 2009 ECHL All-Star Game.

A 23-year old native of New York, NY, Cohen appeared in three games last season for Lowell, while also posting five goals, 17 assists and 67 PIM in 72 games with Trenton.

Cohen was a four-year letterman at Yale University.
