AHL announces suspension

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. ... The American Hockey League today announced that Quad City Flames right wing J.D. Watt has been suspended for four (4) games as a result of his actions in a game vs. San Antonio on Feb. 20.

Watt was suspended under the provisions of AHL Rule 29.1 (supplementary discipline) for delivering a blow to the head of an opponent.

Watt will miss Quad City's games on Friday (Feb. 27) at Milwaukee, Saturday (Feb. 28) vs. Houston, Sunday (Mar. 1) at Chicago and Mar. 4 at Peoria.
