
Lowcountry Local First Teams Up With The Charleston Battery

CHARLESTON, SC - AUGUST 1, 2008 - Lowcountry Local First has teamed up with the Charleston Battery for the Battery's next home match on Friday, August 29th at Blackbaud Stadium, Daniel Island. The Charleston Battery is showing its support for Lowcountry Local First by offering all members two free tickets to the big match; gates open at 6:00 PM - kick off is set for 8:00 PM.
On August 29th you can cheer on the Charleston Battery as they square off against the Puerto Rico Islanders and at the same time support all things LOCAL. LLF will be on hand with raffle giveaways from some of your favorite local businesses. Just stop by the LLF table and sign up to win! LLF is also encouraging all attendees to wear the t-shirt of your favorite local independent business then stop by the LLF table and get a "Buy Local, Be Local" bumper sticker.
The game will be broadcast live on national TV plus features a post-match fireworks spectacular.
Lowcountry Local First is a grassroots organization made up of local independent business owners, community members, farmers and non-profit leaders who advocate the benefits of supporting our local independent businesses and farmers. The mission of Lowcountry Local First is to advocate the benefits of a local living economy by strengthening community support of our local independent businesses and farmers.
