Macon Mayhem News Release

Jake Trask had a franchise record four point night with a goal and three assists to lead the Macon Mayhem to a 4-1 win over the Louisiana Ice Gators Saturday night in Louisiana.

The win is the third straight for the Mayhem, which has also won four of its last five games. The Mayhem is now tied for seventh place with Louisiana and Knoxville in the Southern Professional Hockey League standings. Louisiana and Macon have played the same number of games, each has played three fewer games than Knoxville.

Trask opened the scoring at 8:59 of the first period from Jeff Sanders and Shawn Skelly. Skelly would later add a goal and assist for a three point night, giving him a team leading 21 points and moving him into second place in the league scoring race.

Michael Montagna made it 2-0 before the first period ended from Trask and Matt Robertson. Ryan Michel and Shawn Skelly each scored power play goals in the second period for the Mayhem. Michel's goal came just 48 seconds into the period. It was the first time this season the Mayhem has scored two power play goals in a game.

Macon goaltender Garrett Bartus came within 2:37 of his third shutout of the season, but John Daniels shorthanded goal ruined that bid.

The four goals meets the Marco's Pizza three goal challenge. Fans who order from www.marcos.com on Sunday and use the promo code MAYHEM will receive a 25% discount on their order.

The Mayhem and Louisiana play again Sunday in Louisiana at 4:05 p.m. eastern time.
