Leesburg, VA. - Loudoun United FC announced today two player signings for the 2022 USL Championship season. The Red-and-White have acquired forward Zoumana Diarra and midfielder Abdoul Zanne on loan from Ivory Coast club ASEC Mimosas.

"We are very excited to welcome Zanne and Diarra to Loudoun United and look to continue our strong relationship with one of Africa's most successful clubs in ASEC Mimosas and club director Benoit You," said Loudoun United Head Coach, Ryan Martin.

Zoumana Diarra, an Ivory Coast native, joins Loudoun United FC (LUFC) after most recently competing with ASEC Mimosas reserve team this past season. The 18-year-old is a right-footed striker that adds creativity to Loudoun United's frontline.

"Diarra is tremendous in the box and around goal as he can finish with both feet," said Ryan Martin. "His movement to run in behind and create danger is a special quality and we are excited to see his addition in the team."

Abdoul Zanne, an Ivory Coast native, joins after also competing with ASEC Mimosas reserve team this past year.

"Zanne is a very gifted left footed attacking player, who is dangerous in 1v1 situations and provides great service from wide areas," said Ryan Martin. "We are excited to see his growth and development with us."

ASEC Mimosas is an Ivorian football club based in Abidjan. Founded in 1948, the prestigious club has produced many world class footballers including Yaya Toure and Salomon Kalou.
