The Lookouts survived a scare in the late innings, but hold on to win, 4-3. David Shafer came in and shut the Biscuits down in the ninth, earning his 16th save of the season.

The Biscuits didn't wait to get their offense going, as the scored a run in the first with the help of three straight singles. The Lookouts came right back in the bottom of the inning to tie the game. Chris Dickerson led off with a single through the hole at shortstop, and then stole second. Dickerson then advanced to third on a failed pick off attempt. Joey Votto singled to score Dickerson.

Chattanooga got two more runs in the bottom of the third. Dewayne Wise, who was added to the roster today from extended spring training, reached after drilling a line drive back to the pitcher. Joey Votto followed with a single of his own, moving Wise to second. Votto then moved to second on a Noochie Varner ground out. Javier Colina the smoked a two run single to bring the score to 3-1 in favor of the good guys. The Looks came up with another run in the bottom of the fifth. Varner led the inning off with a double and then scored on an Anderson Machado RBI single.

The Biscuits made a late inning charge as the scored two runs in the eighth off of Lookouts reliever Jon Coutlangus. Montgomery was able to score the two runs on two singles and a walk. They could not, however, manage to score the tying run.

Lookouts starter Tyler Pelland improved his record to 4-1 after another stellar outing. He went seven innings and allowed one run on six hits, while striking out six. Biscuits starting pitcher Tony Peguero took the loss after allowing four runs, all earned, on nine hits in six innings of work. His record is now 5-6.

The Lookouts will look to take the series with a win tomorrow. Game time is at 2:15.
