JACKSONVILLE, FL- Jared Wells entered Saturday?s start in Jacksonville with a league best 1.70 ERA, but surrendered seven runs in 5.1 innings Saturday. Jacksonville's offense had 11 hits in a 7-2 victory. The game started with a 15 minute weather delay, and had the ejection of Mobile Manager Gary Jones in the sixth inning, after Luis Cruz was said to have left too early tagging up from third base.
Jacksonville's offense had three hits each from Tony Abreau and Chin-Lung Hu. Andy LaRoche had a two-run home run for the Suns, his seventh of the season. Mobile was held to three hits by Danny Muegge, Jacksonville's starter who picked up his fifth win.
The BayBears and Suns will play Sunday at 2:05. Roger Deago (4-3) will pitch against Jacksonville's Heath Totten (3-2). All BayBears games can be heard on 1480 AM WABB, Comcast Cable Channel 18, and on the internet via mobilebaybears.com.
