
Lookouts Shut out Suns 7-0 on Wednesday

CHATTANOOGA, TN - The Chattanooga Lookouts (25-25, 51-69) shut out the Jacksonville Suns (30-22, 66-56) for the second straight ballgame, with Chattanooga prevailing with a 7-0 victory on Wednesday night from AT&T Field.
Nick Struck (W, 4-6) earned the win by tossing five scoreless frames for Chattanooga, giving up three hits and four walks while striking out three Suns in his winning effort.
Jay Rogers (L, 6-5) took the loss for the Suns, surrendering five runs (all earned) on six hits while walking three batters and striking out two Lookouts in his Wednesday night start.
Frankie Reed faced the minimum six batters in his two scoreless innings, only giving up one hit while striking out one batter.
Reid Redman held the Lookouts off the scoreboard in two hitless innings, only issuing a walk while punching out two batters in his relief effort.
Collin Cargill allowed a pair of runs (both earned) on two hits while walking a batter in his inning of work.
Chattanooga immediately took the lead, scoring three times with two outs in the bottom of the first inning. A Corey Seager RBI single and a two-run double by O'Koyea Dickson put the Lookouts ahead 3-0 after one inning.
The Lookouts furthered their lead with a pair of runs in the bottom of the third inning. The Lookouts used a RBI triple from Daniel Mayora and a two-out RBI single by Chris O'Brien to take a 5-0 lead after three innings of play.
That score held until the Lookouts added two more runs in the bottom of the eighth inning. Corey Seager's RBI double and a RBI groundout from Noel Cuevas made it a 7-0 Chattanooga lead in the bottom of the eighth.
With the win, the Lookouts hold a 2-0 series lead and have now won 11 consecutive ballgames.
The Suns and Lookouts will be back at it on Thursday with first pitch set for 7:15 p.m. ET. The Suns will start left-hander Chipper Smith (3-3, 3.90) while the Lookouts will counter with right-hander Matt Shelton (4-3, 4.20).
