Lookouts Score Eight Unanswered Runs in Win

The Chattanooga Lookouts scored eight unanswered runs in their 8-2 win over the Tennessee Smokies.

After falling behind in the first by two runs, Rece Hinds cut the deficit in half with his 21st homer of the season. In the third, the team quickly loaded the bases on an error, a walk, and a single. With one out Hinds delivered a single to score two runs. Alex McGarry knocked home the third run of the frame on a ground rule double.

In the fifth, the Lookouts offense struck again. With two runners on McGarry hit a single to clear the bases and then scored on a James Free single.

Chattanooga scored one more an inning later, this time on a Jose Torres RBI single.

On the mound, Carson Spiers continued his hot streak, striking out nine batters in five innings while only allowing two runs.

Tomorrow, Chattanooga begins their three-game stretch as the Montanas de Chattanooga. The first pitch is at 7:15 p.m.
