Chattanooga Lookouts News Release

The Chattanooga Lookouts, having successfully battled their way back to a .500 record in the first half, began the second half on a losing note Wednesday night at AT&T Field.

Visiting Tennessee, giving starter Zach Lee an uncharacteristically rough night, banged out 13 hits, including a pair of home runs, to defeat Lee and the Lookouts 7-2 in the second-half opener. Former first-round pick Lee lasted only four innings, giving up eight hits and a solo home run to Christian Villanueva.

Justin Bour added a solo homer against Lookouts reliver Greg Infante, but that was the only run the Chattanooga bullpen allowed in five strong innings of relief.

The Lookouts had 10 hits of their own Wednesday, but failed to generate a big inning. Ozzie Martinez, looking like he might be back to stay from Triple-A Albuquerque, had three singles, while Miguel Rojas and Brian Cavazos-Galvez drove in Chattanooga's only runs.

Joc Pederson went 0-3 to see his once league-leading average dip to .299.

The series will continue tomorrow at 7:15 with Chris Reed looking for his fourth win for the Lookouts.
