The Lookouts lose a heartbreaker, 6-5 to the Montgomery Biscuits. The Lookouts were trailing 6-1 in the bottom of eighth and rallied to score four runs. The Looks, however, were unable to come up with the crucial tying run.

The Lookouts were able to take the lead in the third inning with one run, as Miguel Perez led the inning off with a double and then came around to score on sacrifice fly by Dewayne Wise. The Biscuits came back in the fourth to tie the game at one after Jorge Cantu led the inning off with a single and came home on a string of singles off of Chattanooga starter Eddy Valdez.

The Biscuits took the lead in the top of the fifth with a two-spot. Leandro doubled with two outs and then Jorge Cantu sent a Valdez pitch over the left field wall for a two run home run. The Biscuits kept the bats hot, scoring a run in the sixth off of Lookouts reliever Carlos Alvarado. Alvarado walked two and gave up two hits, resulting in the run. Montgomery plated two more runs off the bat of Jeremy Owens as he sent a Calvin Medlock delivery over the left field fence.

The Lookouts made it interesting in the bottom of the eighth, as they put four runs across the plate. Joey Votto led the inning off with his team leading 28th walk of the season. Rick Asadoorian scored Votto from first with his first triple of the season. With two outs and Asadoorian on third, Anderson Machado got the rally going with a RBI single. Luis Bolivar followed with a double, moving Machado to third. Ryan Hanigan, who was recalled to Chattanooga this morning, plated Machado and Bolivar with a single to bring the score to 6-5. The Lookouts, however, were unable to complete the comeback, as they were unable to tie the game in the ninth.

Eddy Valdez suffered the loss, bringing his record to 1-3. He worked 5.0 innings and allowed three runs on eight hits. Biscuits' reliever Machi got the win after tossing 2.2 innings.

The Lookouts will face off with the Biscuits tomorrow night in the finale of this 10 game home stand. Gates open at 5:30 and the first pitch is at 7:15. Come out to BellSouth Park and root on your first place Lookouts before they depart for a 10 game road trip.
