vs. ALASKA ACES

The Thunder heads to "Big Wild Life" for the first time this season with back-to-back games against the Alaska Aces at the vaunted Sullivan Arena, where the Thunder is 0-5-1 in the all-time series. The Thunder went 0-2-1 last year at Alaska but is 2-1-0 this season against the Aces. Thunder rookie Jacob Micflikier leads the season in series in scoring with five points (2g-3a). Alaska goaltender Derek Gustafson has pulled all of the workload in net, posting a 3.99 goals-against-average and .872 save percentage.

vs. BAKERSFIELD CONDORS (Friday - 7:30 p.m.) - 1420 KSTN, B2 Networks

The Thunder returns home for the first Stockton Arena matchup against the Bakersfield Condors on Friday, marking the second game in the nine-game season series. The Thunder is 6-4-6 lifetime against the Condors and went 3-1-1 at home against Bakersfield last year. The Condors are in the basement of the National Conference with a 5-13-5 record (15 points) and have just two wins in their previous 19 games. The game begins a season-long five-game homestand for the Thunder.

1420 KSTN is the Thunder's flagship radio station and all Thunder games can be heard live on the Internet (free-of-charge) and are available for viewing at a $6 "pay-per-view" charge at www.stocktonthunder.com, courtesy of B2 Networks. Radio broadcaster Mike Benton provides play-by-play commentary, with the "Thunder Forecast" pre-game show starting 15 minutes before each broadcast.

In addition, Valley Brew Family Restaurant is in its second season as official host of the Thunder Watch Party (via B2 Networks' "Bar and Pub Network") for all road games, featuring prizes and broadcast-interactive contests for all fans in attendance.

WEEK IN REVIEW

Friday, December 7 (Stockton 3 - Las Vegas 2, SO)

Goaltender Glenn Fisher stopped 25 shots while Ryan O'Marra's goal in the fifth round of a shootout capped a dramatic comeback by the Thunder in a 3-2 shootout victory over the Las Vegas Wranglers before 6,220 at Stockton Arena on Friday. The Thunder picked up its first win in the all-time series since December 9, 2006, leaving Las Vegas winless for just the second time in 13 games (11-0-2). Ryan MacMurchy and Andy Contois scored for the Thunder in regulation.

Saturday, December 8 (Las Vegas 2 - Stockton 1)

Tyler Mosienko's shorthanded goal at the 3:18 mark of the third period lifted the Las Vegas Wranglers to a 2-1 win over the Thunder at Stockton Arena on Saturday. The Thunder, who gave up its first shorthanded goal of the year, outshot the Wranglers by a 24-14 pace in the final two periods. Rookie Ryan O'Marra netted the only Thunder tally on a first period power-play goal. Thunder goaltender Tim Boron stopped 26 shots.
