Rays Announce Game Worn Jersey Program
December 11, 2007 - ECHL (ECHL)
South Carolina Stingrays News Release
NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. - The South Carolina Stingrays announced today the return of the Game Worn Jersey Program. The Game Worn Jersey Program allows fans to purchase a game-worn jersey and have their name on a patch on the back of that jersey all year long. Jerseys are available on a first-come, first-serve basis.
Open to all individuals, the Game Worm Jersey Program is available for both home and away jerseys and costs only $500. To participate, fans must simply contact Todd Merton at 744-2248 x1212 or email at tmerton@stingrayshockey.com to choose the player and color jersey they want and secure your order.
Once the order is placed, the requested name will be sewn on the back of the selected player's jersey below his number. Then, on the last game of the year, the fan that purchased the jersey will be invited down on the ice after the game to take a picture with the player and jersey. Immediately following the end of the season, the jersey will be cleaned, autographed and delivered to you.
When picking your jersey, fans must remember that the home jersey is white until the January 19th game against Augusta and after that, the home jersey will be the red one. Your name will only be adorned on the one jersey you select, not both colors.
Fans must also note that if the player chosen gets traded, released, or called-up, the players name plate will be saved and at the end of the season and the person who bought the jersey will have the option of having the original player's name back on the jersey or the new player who was issued the number. Please be aware that if choosing to have the original player's name sewn back on, the photo opportunity and autograph option may not be available.
To secure your jersey and ensure availability of the player, contact Todd Merton at 744-2248 x1212 or at tmerton@stingrayshockey.com. The jerseys are available on a first-come, first-serve basis and can be reserved with a $250 deposit.
The Stingrays have the week off before returning to the North Charleston Coliseum on Wednesday, Dec. 19 to host the Pensacola Ice Pilots. It's Blu Gorilla Tattoo Night at the Rays. Stop by the Blu Gorilla table on the concourse to show off your tattoo for a chance to win a prize pack from Blu Gorilla Tattoo and the Stingrays. Stingrays Hockey - A Whole Lot Cooler!
