Montgomery Biscuits News Release
MONTGOMERY - Montogmery Biscuits third baseman Evan Longoria was called to Triple-A Durham (International League), the club announced today.
The top prospect had been hitting .307 for the Biscuits at their everyday third baseman. He is the current Southern League leader in home runs (21), RBIs (76), and runs (78).
The 21-year-old native of Downey, Calif. had his final Southern League at-bat against Birmingham Monday night; a 10th-inning grand slam.
His legacy in Montgomery includes helping the Biscuits win their 2006 Southern League Championship. He hit three postseason home runs, including a ninth-inning walkoff on September 9 to end the Southern League Divisional Series and send Montgomery to the finals.
The Biscuits received two infielders today as well, bolstering their roster with first baseman Rhyne Hughes and utility infielder Aaron Sisk.

Sisk, a 28-year-old veteran from Texas, was batting .268-11-36 for Vero Beach in 49 games.
