Long Island Nets News Release
LONG ISLAND - The Long Island Nets, the NBA G League affiliate of the Brooklyn Nets, clinched their second playoff berth in franchise history after finishing the 2021-22 regular season with an 18-15 overall record. Long Island earned the No. 6 seed in the Eastern Conference and will travel to face the No. 3 seed Delaware Blue Coats in the First Round on Tuesday, April 5, at 8 p.m. on ESPN2.
This marks the team's second postseason appearance and the first since the 2018-19 season, when the Nets defeated the Lakeland Magic to win the 2019 NBA G League Eastern Conference Championship en route to the NBA G League Finals.
The NBA G League Playoffs will begin on Tuesday, April 5, with three single-elimination rounds, with the top two seeds in each conference earning a bye into the Conference Semifinals. The playoffs will then culminate with a best-of-three NBA G League Finals, which will be played in a one-one-one format.
