
Carsen Edwards Earns Call-Up with Detroit Pistons

SALT LAKE CITY - The Detroit Pistons announced today the team has signed Salt Lake City Stars guard Carsen Edwards to a two-year contract.
During the 2021-22 NBA G League regular season, Edwards appeared in 31 games (30 starts) averaging 26.7 points, 4.2 assists and 1.5 steals a game while shooting 46.4 percent from the field and 38.1 percent from deep.
Edwards scored 30 points or more points 11 times this season, including a career-high 46-point performance on March 2, 2022, against the Iowa Wolves. Edwards' 46 points were the most scored in a game in Salt Lake City Stars history.
Edwards leaves the Stars as the team's fourth all-time leading scorer (total points) with 827 points. His 26.7 points per game average is the second highest in franchise history.
The call-up is the first of the season for the Stars and the seventh since the team moved to Salt Lake City prior to the 2016-17 season.
