(Vancouver) After jumping out to a 2-0 record in 2012 and preparing to take on the unbeaten Saskatchewan Roughriders on Saturday afternoon, the BC Lions took time Tuesday morning to acknowledge two of their own as linebacker Adam Bighill and running back Andrew Harris earned CFL Player of the Week honours following a 39-36 win over the Hamilton Tiger Cats on Friday night.

Bighill's nine defensive tackles along with a sack, a forced fumble and a special teams stop, caught the attention of voters as the second-year linebacker picks up his first Defensive Player of the Week nod.

Harris enjoyed his best outing as a pro, rumbling for 147 rushing yards on 13 carries including a 61-yard dash midway through the fourth quarter with the game still in the balance. The lofty total earns the speedy tailback Canadian Player of the Week kudos.

The Lions travel to Regina this week to take on the Saskatchewan Roughriders in a key West Division battle on Saturday, July 14th before returning to BC Place on Friday, July 20 to take on the Edmonton Eskimos at 7:00 pm presented by Purolator Tackle Hunger.
