Lions Battle Roughriders in Huge Western Showdown at BC Place
September 20, 2021 - Canadian Football League (CFL)
B.C. Lions News Release
Coming off an impressive 27-18 victory in Montreal, the BC Lions are back home to battle the Saskatchewan Roughriders this Friday at 7:30 pm presented by BC Hydro, Fortis BC and the Government of British Columbia.
Winners of three straight, Michael Reilly and company look to take over sole possession of second place in the competitive West Division as these squads enter this contest with identical 4-2 records.
Reilly's 1,601 passing yards are good for second in the CFL while Lucky Whitehead leads all CFL receivers with 549 yards through six games.
The stingy Lions' defence continues to smother opponents, having only surrendered two touchdowns in their last five games. They have yet to give up a touchdown in the second half of game all season long.
Join us on this special evening where we pay tribute to National Day for Truth and Reconciliation and the Every Child Matters movement.
In addition to hosting 350 Residential School survivors and other indigenous partners, we will give out free orange T-Shirts to the first 10,000 fans on Friday evening. The shirts feature a special rendition of the BC Lions logo designed by Kwakwaka'wakw/Tlingit artist Corrine Hunt.
