The BC Lions (13-5) host the Calgary Stampeders (12-6) in the 2012 CFL Western Final on Sunday, November 18th at BC Place with kickoff slated for 1:30 pm (gates at 12:00 pm).

The Lions enjoyed a week off to rest and heal up while West Division rivals Calgary and Saskatchewan went head-to-head for the right to make the trip to the west coast. In the end, the Stampeders took out the "˜Riders in dramatic fashion with a last-minute 36-30 win.

For Calgary, it was the first win over Saskatchewan in a playoff game since 1994 - the same year of course, that the Lions claimed their third Grey Cup title. The Leos and Stamps have met in the Western Final on five previous occasions (2008, 2000, 1999, 1994 and 1964) with the Lions coming out on top three times.

Travis Lulay will lead the Lions' offence Sunday as the West Division's All-Star pivot looks to take his team back to the Grey Cup. Lulay will enjoy a full complement of receivers as both Geroy Simon and Arland Bruce return to the line-up for the first time since late September. The CFL's leader in yards from scrimmage, Andrew Harris will also be a key figure in the Lions' offensive game plan Sunday.

On defence, the Leos are led by a veteran secondary facing a quarterback in Calgary's Drew Tate who starts just his third career playoff game. Tate, of course, has running back Jon Cornish in his backfield and the Lions will need a tremendous effort up front to stop the CFL's leading rusher. The Lions and Stampeders combined for 18 division all-stars this year making Sunday's matchup all-the-more intriguing.

All of Sunday's fun starts at 11:30 am on the Terry Fox Plaza with the BC Lions Street Party presented by Nissan. In addition to face painting, poster making, interactive games and a performance by the 2012 Felions, fans will also be treated to some great live music courtesy of the Day Trippers. The first 40,000 fans through the gates will receive thundersticks courtesy of TELUS.
