Hamilton - After setting a new team record with 17 touchdowns this season, Hamilton Tiger-Cats receiver Chris Willia ms, along with Fluke Transportation Group, has helped raised $17,000 for local charities thanks to the Driving for Touchdowns program.
For every touchdown Williams scored in 2012, $1,000 was donated to City Kidz and Liberty for Youth; two Hamilton-based, non-profit, charitable organizations that work with at-risk youth.
"I'm honoured to have the opportunity to work with Fluke Transportation Group and help make a difference in our community," said Williams.
"Fluke Transportation Group is thrilled to team up with the CFL's most exciting player for this program. Chris' hard work and dedication led him to record-breaking success this season, making him an admirable role model for Hamilton youth," commented Ron Foxcroft, CEO of Fluke Transportation Group.
Williams will be on hand at tonight's City Kidz Big Dream Banquet at Carmen's (1520 Stone Church Road East, Hamilton) for a special cheque presentation.
