Taylor Lindsey hit for the cycle, going 5-for-5 in a 9-6 Owlz win over the Ogden Raptors. It is Lindsey's first-ever cycle, and the third one hit this year in the Pioneer League.

Lindsey came to the plate in the 7th inning needing just a triple for the cycle and drove a 1-1 pitch into the right-center gap. Lindsey got to third without a throw, and at the same time, drove in Chris Giovinazzo from first base.

"Tonight's a different person," said Manager Tom Kotchman referring to Lindsey's cycle and C.J. Cron's 3-run HR last night. "No matter what level it's at, that's impressive, said Kotchman of the cycle.

Kotchman didn't even realize that Lindsey hit for the cycle, asking after the game, "Did he hit for the cycle'" However, Lindsey was well aware what he did. "It was in my head every at-bat, especially the last two," said Lindsey.

The win did not keep easy for Orem (5-2), as Ogden (1-6) loaded the bases with nobody out in the top of the 9th. Danny Reynolds got Scott Schebler and Matt Kirkland to strike out, and Jan Vazquez to fly out to the warning track in the left for the third out.

"Bottom line is we got the W," said Kotchman.

Junior Carlin (4-0) pitched three perfect innings in the 3rd, 4th and 5th, to pick up his fourth win of the year. Reynolds got five outs for his sixth save in six chances.

The Owlz have now taken the last four games against the Raptors, and will go for the series victory tomorrow afternoon in the third game of the four game series. First pitch is at 4:05 p.m.
