GENEVA, IL - Josh Lindblom, the Dodgers' second round draft choice in the 2008 amateur draft, has been added to the Loons' roster and is scheduled to make his professional debut tonight for the Great Lakes Loons as the team begins a three-game series at Elfstrom Stadium against the Kane County Cougars.

Lindblom, a closer while in college at Purdue University, is scheduled to start tonight, but will be limited to approximately 40 pitches. Right-hander Justin Miller also is scheduled to pitch in the game. To make room for Lindblom on the roster, outfielder Yossandy Garcia has been placed on the disabled list.

The 6-5, 240-pound right-hander was selected 61st overall by the Dodgers in the June draft. While with the Boilermakers in 2008, Lindblom went 1-2 with a 3.38 ERA and a dozen saves. He played one college season (2006) at the University of Tennessee.

Lindblom was initially drafted by the Astros in the third round of the 2005 draft from Harrison High School in Lafayette, IN. That year, he was selected by Baseball America as the top overall prospect in the Hoosier state.

The Loons' latest roster is attached.

Game time tonight is 7:30pm ET. The game will be broadcast live on the flagship radio home of the Loons, ESPN 100.9-FM.

The Great Lakes Loons are the second-year Single-A affiliate of the Los Angeles Dodgers and members of the Midwest League. For more information about the Loons, visit Loons.com or call 989-837-BALL.
