Cleburne Railroaders News Release

GRAND PRAIRIE, Tex. - The Cleburne Railroaders and Texas AirHogs had the finale of their four-game series suspended on Monday night at AirHogs Stadium due to malfunctioning lights. The score was tied 3-3 heading into the top of the fifth inning.

The game will be resumed at the point of suspension when the teams next meet at AirHogs Stadium on July 31.

Cleburne (22-20) jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the top of the first on a two-run double from John Nester and an RBI single from Hunter Clanin. Texas (8-32) answered with a run in the second on a wild pitch from Michael Gunn, then added two more in the fourth to tie the game. The two teams briefly took to the field to warm up for the fifth inning, but the umpires deemed the field too dark to continue play.

The Railroaders return home for a three-game series against the Chicago Dogs on Tuesday night. First pitch is scheduled for 7:06 PM, with right-hander Jesus Sanchez (4-2, 4.09) starting for Cleburne, and lefty D.J. Snelten (3-1, 3.70) countering for Chicago.
