Lights FC to Begin Selecting Participants for $5,000 Helicopter Cash Drop, September 8 at Cashman Field

LAS VEGAS - The wildest, most-anticipated promotion of the inaugural Las Vegas Lights FC season is now less than two weeks away.

On Saturday, Sept. 8, at halftime of Lights FC's home match vs. LA Galaxy II at Cashman Field, $5,000 in cash will be dropped from a helicopter hovering over the center circle of the pitch.

Taking part in the chase for the money will be 200 Lights FC fans, with several ways to earn a spot in the Cash Drop available leading up to Match Day. Every fan in attendance on Sept. 8 will have the chance to earn a spot in the $5,000 Cash Drop upon arriving at Cashman Field on Match Day, as well.

All will need to sign a waiver. Each participant will also be provided with a Lights FC jersey to wear during the event (Valued at $90).

Ways to earn a spot in the Cash Drop include:

An allotment of spots is being held exclusively for Lights FC Season Ticket Members. Lucky winners will be contacted directly by the Lights FC ticket staff.

Opportunities will be made available at Cashman Field on Match Day to earn an entry at random into the Cash Drop.

The schedule will also include a pair of exclusive Season Ticket Member parties on Sept. 12 & 18, a Mexican Independence Day fireworks celebration following the Sept. 16 home match vs. Portland Timbers 2 and the first Bobblehead Night in club history on Sept. 29, with the first 5,000 fans in attendance receiving a bobblehead of Lights FC mascot "Cash the Soccer Rocker."
