Former Republic FC Midfielder Rodrigo Lopez Returning to Sacramento for Fan Events on September 8

SACRAMENTO, Calif. - Sacramento Republic FC announced today that former midfielder Rodrigo "RoRo" Lopez will be attending the club's match on September 8th as a special guest. Lopez, who was a member of the inaugural championship-winning team, will be participating in pre-match events with fans as part of the club's fifth anniversary celebrations.
Signed as Republic FC's first player in 2013, Lopez quickly became a fan favorite. The Guadalajara, Mexico, native was part of the inaugural team that won the league championship in 2014. Lopez famously orchestrated a three-goal comeback en route to the USL Cup where he was named the match MVP. He holds the club's all-time record for most assists (19), and up until this season, also held the club's all-time scoring record.
