The Rockford Lightning will be auctioning off all of the game worn jerseys of the
2005-06 team. Place your bid today to get your favorite Lightning player's jersey
before it's too late.
Each jersey is a one of a kind collector's item that is sure to be cherished by all
of the winning bidders as these players pursue their careers in basketball. Act now
to place your bid on the jerseys of such players as University of Illinois graduate
and CBA Rookie of the Year Roger Powell, or CBA All-League First Team member Marlon
Parmer.
Ronnie Fields' jersey is sure to be a hot item as the Rockford veteran and fan
favorite who now holds nearly every record in the Lightning franchise continues his
pursuit of what has become a storied and unforgettable basketball career.
There are 22 jerseys to bid on by logging onto the website at
www.rockfordlightning.com from three of the leagues top 4 scorers all the way to
team mascot Freddy Flash. Two jerseys are available, home white and road blue, for
each player on the Lightning playoff roster. Players' names are on the back of all
jerseys above the player's number. Minimum bid is $100, but check the "high bid"
box next to the players name to make sure that you are not bidding too low.
"This is a chance for Lightning fans to take home their favorite player's jersey,"
said Lightning General Manager Michael Neville. "This is a special auction that we
(Lightning organization) wanted to do for our fans that have supported us for 20
years."
The closing date on the Jersey Auction will be Friday, March 31st @ 5:00 P.M. (CST).
