Rockford Lightning News Release
Legacy Sports Partners of Atlanta, Georgia and the China Sport Coalition have chosen
Lightning Coach Chris Daleo to lead a group of American players through a two-week
basketball tour through China. This will be coach Daleo's third year for the
tour.
"This is a very exciting trip for me," said Daleo. "It is an honor to be asked back
for my third straight year. This trip provides me a great opportunity to see
players, coach outside of my element, and have the opportunity to broaden my
horizons. During my last two tours I have developed some unique friendships and I
hope to see all of my friends again. I will defiantly be bringing a ton of
Lightning tee shirts."
The Lightning Coach has the responsibility of organizing a competitive team that
will win games on the court and be solid representatives of the United States off of
the court. The team arrives in Shanghai, China on June 7th and then immediately
hits the hardwood. The tour will travel through Wujiang, Sihong and Changzhou,
China. The team will play a total of nine games during the two-week
stretch.
"There really is not a lot of down time; everyday you travel and play, travel and
play. I just hope to have a great time and help my players to win games."
