
Lightning Reassign Matthew Spencer to Solar Bears

ORLANDO, Fla. - The Orlando Solar Bears have announced that the Tampa Bay Lightning have reassigned defenseman Matthew Spencer to Orlando, while rookie defenseman Oleg Sosunov has been reassigned to the Syracuse Crunch of the American Hockey League.
Spencer, 21, returns to the Solar Bears for his third stint with the club this season, where he has already posted eight points (2g-6a) and 22 penalty minutes in 18 games. He has also added one assist in nine contests with the Crunch this season.
Spencer was a second-round selection (#44 overall) of the Lightning in the 2015 NHL Entry Draft.
Sosunov, 20, heads back to Syracuse after recording five points (1g-4a) and 16 penalty minutes in 15 games with Orlando this season. He has also tallied one goal and two penalty minutes in five games for Syracuse.
Sosunov was a sixth-round selection (#178 overall) of the Lightning in the 2016 NHL Entry Draft.
NEXT GAMES: The Solar Bears continue their road trip when they face the Greenville Swamp Rabbits on Friday, Feb. 1 at 7 p.m. at Bon Secours Wellness Arena.
