
Grizzlies Win 4-2 in Tulsa

Tulsa, Oklahoma - The Utah Grizzlies won 4-2 as Eric Freschi gave Utah a 3-2 lead with 9:17 left in the third period and Jake Marchment scored 2 goals as the Grizzlies defeated the Tulsa Oilers at BOK Center.
Tulsa scored first at Roman Ammirato scored his 7th goal of the season 2:40 into the contest. Tim McGauley responded with a power play goal for Utah to tie up the game at the 7:36 mark.
It stayed 1-1 for over a period and a half as both goaltenders and defensive units were solid in the middle portion of the game. Joe Cannata stopped 25 of 27 shots as he allowed only 3 goals on 64 shots in back to back games against Tulsa. Oilers goaltender Evan Fitzpatrick stopped 27 of 30 shots.
Jake Marchment scored a goal on a rebound with 2:54 left in the second period. Marchment scored 2 seconds after a 4 minute power play ended for the Grizzlies.
Tulsa tied up the game 2-2 as Ryan Tesink scored a shorthanded goal 7:10 into the third period. It was his 19th goal of the season.
Utah took a 3-2 lead as Eric Freschi scored his 2nd goal of the season with the assists going to Josh Dickinson and Turner Ottenbreit.
Grizzlies defenseman Teigan Zahn got called for an interference minor penalty with 2 minutes left in the third period. Utah defender Taylor Richart was called for Delay of Game with 1:15 left in the third. The Grizzlies stopped the 5 on 3 as Jake Marchment won key face-offs and Gage Ausmus and Kevin Davis were key in stopping the Oilers and Joe Cannata made a big save with 33 seconds left. Marchment scored an empty net goal at the buzzer for his second of the game to complete the scoring.
Marchment has 6 goals in 5 games against Tulsa this season. Marchment had 1 goal and 1 assist in the Utah 2-1 victory on Tuesday night in Tulsa. The Grizzlies are 3-2 vs Tulsa this season.
