Coming Soon: Solar Bears to Release New App for Mobile Devices

January 31, 2019 - ECHL (ECHL)
Orlando Solar Bears News Release

ORLANDO, Fla. - The Orlando Solar Bears have announced that the team has rolled out a new mobile app for Apple and Android devices. Due to the team's previous app company ceasing operations effective January 31, the Solar Bears have partnered with FanMaker, which counts the NHL's Minnesota Wild and Nashville Predators, along with Florida State University athletics among its clients to develop the team's new app.

The new app is designed to specifically house the team's popular Loyalty & Rewards program implemented in the previous version of the Solar Bears app, with easy ways for fans to earn points which can be redeemed for prizes that include player cards, autographed items, merchandise, experiences and more. The app will no longer be used to access the team roster, news or mobile ticketing platform. Fans who wish to access their tickets on their mobile devices can still continue to do so using the Ticketmaster app or through their mobile web browsers.

The new app is not yet available, but is expected to be released within the next several days in both the Google Play Store and Apple App Store. Fans are advised to check the Solar Bears website and the team's social media accounts for updates regarding the rollout of the new Solar Bears mobile app. Once available, fans will be able to download the new app in the Google Play Store and/or Apple App Store by searching for the "Orlando Solar Bears Official Mobile App."

Android users will be prompted to update their app when they attempt to access the previous app on their mobile devices. iOS users must download the new app from the Apple App Store in order for the new update to take effect. Previous users' Loyalty & Rewards points have already been migrated to the new app and will be visible once they update to the new version and sign in using their login credentials that had been used in the previous version of the app. Fans who update to the new app will receive 50 Loyalty & Rewards points.

NEXT GAMES: The Solar Bears continue their road trip when they face the Greenville Swamp Rabbits on Friday, Feb. 1 at 7 p.m. at Bon Secours Wellness Arena. The Solar Bears return home to host the Jacksonville Icemen on Wednesday, Feb. 6 at 7 p.m. for a Wine Down Wednesday. Fans can take advantage of $5 wine specials during the game.
