Lehigh Valley IronPigs News Release
The 2018 IronRail Series continues as the IronPigs (8-10) start a six-game, North Division homestand with the opener of a three-game series against the reigning North Division champion Scranton/WB RailRiders (10-9) at Coca-Cola Park. This is a rematch of a RailRiders' 2-1 series victory at PNC Field from April 9-11... With a doubleheader split at Norfolk (W, 9-8; L, 5-0) on Wednesday, the Pigs dropped the series to the Tides, 2-1, and have lost their last three series -- all against the South Division. After starting 6-4, Lehigh Valley has dumped six of its last eight contests... The RailRiders -- the Yankees' top affiliate -- defeated Columbus, 8-5, on Wednesday to take the rubber match from the Clippers. The Riders have won three of their last four tilts since a season-high, five-game skid.
LHP Cole Irvin (0-1, 5.40) will start for LHV against LHP Nestor Cortes (0-0, 0.00).
Tonight is a Friday Night Fireworks, presented by Cedar Crest College. First-pitch is at 7:05 p.m.
