Lehigh Valley IronPigs News Release
The IronPigs (36-29) play the finale of a three-game series against the Gwinnett Braves (30-36) at Coca-Cola Park after the two teams split a four-game series at last week at Coolray Field... With a 7-5 victory last night, the Pigs have won back-to-back games and have improved to 4-1 on this 10-day, 10-game homestand. The Pigs are tied with Rochester for the best record in the IL in June (10-4) and now sport a 21-12 record since May 12 after starting 15-17... The Braves -- Atlanta's top affiliate -- have dropped back-to-back affairs since a five-game winning streak. After getting off to an IL-best 10-3 start, the Braves are 20-33 -- including a season-high, seven-game losing streak (May 31 to June 7)... Next up for the Pigs is a four-game, home series against Buffalo (35-31).
RHP Jake Thompson (5-5, 3.42) will start for LHV against RHP Lucas Harrell (2-1, 3.71).
Tonight is Beach Bag Giveaway Night, presented by Air Products... First-Pitch is at 7:05 p.m.
