Lehigh Valley IronPigs News Release

In a battle of the top two teams in the IL since June 14, the IronPigs (47-59) play Game 1 of a three-game series at Coca-Cola Park against the South's first-place Norfok Tides (61-43) -- owners of the best record in the league... With a 3-2 loss to Scranton-WB last night, the Pigs were swept in the two-game, home series and have dropped three straight contests. Still, the surging Pigs have won 18 of their last 29 affairs and sport the IL's second-best record (25-17) since June 14 after falling to their low-water mark (22-42) of the season... The Tides -- Baltimore's top affiliate -- won 6-1 at Pawtucket yesterday to take the three-game set from the Paw Sox, 2-1. The Tides are 11-4 since the All-Star Break and have won 24 of their last 35 contests since June 21 to seize control of the South Division.

RHP Jason Berken (5-7, 3.50) will start for LHV against LHP Chris Jones (6-5, 2.78).

Tonight is Friday Night Fireworks, presented by Coors Light... First Pitch is at 7:05 p.m.
