Gwinnett Stripers News Release
LAWRENCEVILLE, GA - The Gwinnett Braves will be back at Coolray Field on Monday, August 3 to begin a seven-game homestand that includes several unique promotions. The G-Braves will play the Rochester Red Wings, the Triple-A affiliate of the Minnesota Twins, for four games from August 3-6 before a three-game series with the Buffalo Bisons, the Triple-A affiliate of the Toronto Blue Jays, from August 7-9.
After a week full of special ticket and concession deals, Friday's 7:05 p.m. game vs. Buffalo is "Princess Night." From 6-7 p.m., characters Elsa, Anna and Olaf from the movie Frozen will take part in a meet-and-greet in the Center Field Tent with fans who purchase a $15 ticket package that includes a hot dog, chips, small drink and a frozen treat. A Frozen-themed post-game fireworks display follows the game for "Fireworks Friday."
The first 2,000 fans in attendance for the 7:05 p.m. game on Saturday will receive a Hall of Fame Bobblehead of legendary Atlanta Braves' pitcher Tom Glavine presented by Coolray Heating and Cooling. It is the second in a series of four bobbleheads that honor former Braves who are enshrined in the National Baseball Hall of Fame.
The homestand finale will feature regular "Sunday Funday" activities such as Pre-Game Catch on the Field and post-game Kids Run the Bases, as well as a "Diamond Dig" promotion presented by Georgia 811's "Call Before You Dig" campaign.
