Lehigh Valley IronPigs News Release

The IronPigs (59-71) play Game 2 of a four-game series at McCoy Stadium against the second-place Pawtucket Red Sox (72-59), who currently own a 2.0-game lead for the Wild Card... With a 7-0 loss last night, the Pigs have now dropped six of their last seven games as well as five consecutive to the Paw Sox. Prior to the recent skid, the streaky Pigs went 9-3 in a span from July 30-August 11 after a season-high, 10-game losing streak from July 20-29. Still, Lehigh Valley has gone just 30-46 -- falling from second place and 0.5 GB in the North to last place and 15.5 GB... Pawtucket -- Boston's top affiliate -- snapped a four-game losing streak and improved to just 2-8 at home in August. Still, the Paw Sox have gone 33-18 since June 25 (39-41) -- going from 10.0 GB to 3.0 GB of Syracuse. They even earned a one-day share of first place in the North on both July 31 and August 11.

RHP Brad Lincoln (6-9, 4.99) will start for LHV against RHP Matt Barnes (6-8, 4.12).

First-Pitch is at 7:05 p.m.
