"Lets Go Miles" Jersey Design Contest Launches with May 22 Deadline

OMAHA - On Friday June 24th, the Storm Chasers will take the field wearing "Lets Go Miles" uniforms on Superhero Night. Fans have until May 22nd to submit their design that will be displayed on the Jerseys. The jerseys will be auctioned off during the June 24th game and 100% of the proceeds will benefit "Lets Go Miles".
The fundraising total will be matched 100% by the Brian Duensing Foundation. The Foundation is the non-profit 501(c)3 of Storm Chasers and former Nebraska Cornhuskers pitcher Brian Duensing.
"Lets Go Miles" is the fundraiser for Miles Mortensen. Miles is the 4-year-old son of Storm Chasers Pitcher Clayton Mortensen. Miles has been a cancer fighting superhero since 2014. The Storm Chasers are following up the 2015 Lets Go Miles Night with what the organization hopes is an even bigger tribute.
The Storm Chasers Organization and the Brian Duensing Foundation are seeking jersey designs on behalf of Lets Go Miles. The contest will have six finalists with one selected as the Grand Prize Winner. The templates and details for the prizes can be found at http://www.omahastormchasers.com and are attached. Miles Mortensen will select the Grand Prize winner, and jersey design.
On Friday June 24th, the Storm Chasers will wrap-up a four-game series with the New Orleans Zephyrs with Hy-Vee Friday Fireworks scheduled to blast off following the 7:05 p.m. game. The game-worn Lets Go Miles jerseys will be open to bids during a silent in-game auction.
ABOUT MILES: Miles Mortensen is the four-year-old son of Storm Chasers Pitcher (2014-Present) Clayton Mortensen and his wife Janna. Miles has been valiantly battling Neuroblastoma, a rare form of Pediatric Cancer, since 2014. Miles underwent chemotherapy and eventually stem cell therapy, which left Miles cancer-free for over a year. Recently, after a three-month check-up it was discovered that the neuroblastoma has returned in a different area. Miles, the Mortensen's and their extended family and friends must now prepare for another battle.
